Cause of Acne
There could be more than just a few causes of acne and related skin issues but it’s not difficult to determine acne causes. Excessive production of oil from the sebaceous glands of the skin is the probable reason why acne is produced. Sebum is the protein which is secreted by the body in balanced amount to prevent the skin and hair from getting dry and brittle. During puberty or adolescence the amount of sebum produced by the body is imbalanced or greatly increased. This inaccurate amount of sebum with dead skin layers eventually results in acne and pimple formation.
This mixture not only infects the surrounding skin but it also enhances the bacteria growth and reproduction on the skin. Acne is usually the growth of bacteria which is why they are known as pimples. There are certain pertinacious structures called hormones which are responsible for the skin and blood stream activities of the body. In males testosterone is responsible for the secretion of excess sebum it is produced in minute quantities in females as well. During puberty, the body tends to motivate itself for the imbalance secretion of such elements. This increases the chance of one getting acne breakouts.
Acne problem is more common on facial and back region. It could also be a result of improper clothing or diet. Stress, skin irritation, hormonal changes and medications could be responsible for it. Most of the people are exposed to this issue until they are 20 or 21, and after that acne problems get eliminated. From the advance researches and experiments, acne is found to be derived less in the hereditary or genetics. Lithium, barbiturates, anabolic steroids and androgens are some common drugs by which acne could be induced.
Narrowing of the hair follicles has been found to be a cause of acne from the recent studies and observations. These narrowed hair follicles allow the dead skin cells and oils to remain inside the dermal layers stopping them to come out. Malfunctioning of the cell binding and water retention can enhance the acne breakout.
You should make sure that you don’t touch or squeeze the pimple out of the affected areas; it would make it infect the whole skin. The problem could get severe and the acne issue could turn into acne scars. If it is permanent, it would be able to leave its effects for a long time.
